I see their hopping on the video game concept since Frankie has finally realized writing about his ex girl is overdone. Still the same emmure shit you'd expect. Boring. If you're a fan then have at it brethren

What the fuck? I didn't even know they were writing! Is it just me or does it seem rushed though? Because I'm still listening to their last album as if it came out yesterday

Not great...not terrible...just another emmure album worth a listen if you want some heavy chugs

^so true.

pretty good, sounds like it's picking up where the previous release left off, feels a bit less aggressive tho

To quote myself from a different site;

"I'm not sure why I persist in getting their albums, I'm not a fan but I have all of them.
Not sure.

Anywho, like Speaker of the Dead, the production is nice but I got bored of the music quickly.
Unless it gets better in the 4 tracks that are left as I type this, it's another disappointment to me.

Fans might enjoy it, might not."

"As it turns out, it did improve slightly on "MDMA". Seems it's the obligatory more melodic song that's been showing up on their albums since, well, ever.

All in all, not a bad track though."

If you already like Emmure's music or even just enjoy the occasional catchy song with a heavy groove, then by all means give this a try. If you've always disliked their music then this certainly won't change your mind about them. Some people just don't get that they simply enjoy writing this style of music and won't drastically change their sound just to gain more fans or impress you...so take it or leave it.

Since Goodbye To The Gallows this band lost quality from album to album...now it's just bullshit.

2008/2009 they were my fav band, and now I'm ashamed to say that I listen to this band...

its all the same chugs- at least they put an effort into decent guitar riffs this time:P

Soooooo goddamn boring. For fuck's sake, PROGRESS.

Better than both Felony and Speaker of the Dead, but still not up to par with Goodbye to the Gallows or The Respect Issue. I do like this album however because it does have some of those elements and traits that were used on those two albums. It seems like they are starting to go back to their roots. Frankie is getting less gay with the lyrics and talking and the band as a whole is riffing more and progressing. Overall not a bad release and def a step up. Id give it a 6.5 out of 10.

This does seem a bit rushed. Hopefully they will wait a couple years before their next album. Then I bet we will see some real progress. wtf is the jesus shit on track 6?

People were seriously expecting progression from this band? Lol.

should I say it??
sure why the hell not.

VAN FLIP TIMES 1,000

fuck this band.

props to the poster for the ulitmate troll on track 6. For today instrumental?

Video games? Man, fuck it. I'mma just go listen to Last Chance To Reason, at least they did that concept justice. at least they're starting to write riffs though instead of just chugs, i appreciate that quite a bit.
