No, people hate this because it's their opinion and it's flat out bad compared to their other material. It's cool if some people dig it though. I think it sounds nothing like TSD at all, and it's dull and boring, but yeah, whatever floats your boat.

Why does everyone want TSD again? It was heavy as fuck, but the production quality was meh. Do you really want every Whitechapel album to sound the same? I think they've progressed as a band with each album. I haven't made it all the way through this one yet, but I love it so far. It's heavy and technical and everything you can ask for from a good deathcore album nowadays.
i get tired of the stock responses that i must've wanted it to sound like one of their old records or i don't like it because it's cool not to like it.
a.) it's possible for a band's sound to grow and evolve without getting worse. i happen to think this is 'worse'.
b.) the lyrics are laughably bad. it's like a group of mid-20 somethings got together and decided to make an album they would've liked when they were 15.
c.) everything about this album is streamlined. even the album artwork is lame. it's 'self titled', so they didn't even bother to NAME the damn thing, and all these songs sound like bad nu-metal fed through a deathcore filter.
i dislike it because i think it's bad. not because it's cool not to like things. grow up.

If you like it so much go listen to it and stop bitching at people just because they say they don't like it.

I think they did a "little" better than the artwork for recorrupted. what a joke. I loved TSD and didnt care for Exile when it first came out but it grew on me and its my fav. This one might go in the trash with No Time To Bleed
