I didn't have high hopes for this so its not a letdown for me. Hopefully they will get more brutal next album.

This band has gone drastically downhill since 'changes' honestly hope they don't release another album.

I was skeptical from the beginning. There's a few strong points in this album, but it's the same forced clean choruses throughout...too predictable. It took me a while to get used to Back Burner and even that was more catchy.

Theres a few factors to consider when wondering why this band is now so terrible:

1. Andrew Tkaczyk, their former drummer who is now in The Ghost Inside, was their lead songwriter. Meaning he wrote all the amazing and memorable guitar riffs heard in Changes and Relentless.

2. Tom Denney is the amateur producer who produced this album and Back Burner, which is a huge contributing factor in the shoddy song quality.

3. Vocalist Dylan Richter INSISTS on forcing his terrible clean vocals into each and every one of their songs now.

this albums production is way worse the Back Burner

that's just because august burns red are a better band, but Tom Denney is a shit producer

the production isn't bad at all. besides, Misery Signals was able to put out an amazing album with very terrible production. The production is not at all the issue of this album, for me it's the stupid choruses.

When they say that Andrew Tkaczyk is the main songwriter, that means their songs start from the foundation of drums. Tkaczyk is a drummer, for him to write riffs in a band where there is 2 guitarists would be FUCKING STUPID. Jim Hocking has always wrote guitar for this band, even on Changes and on the demo beforehand. Also, Chad isn't even the original vocalist. That being said, fuck this band.

Totally let down, Back Burner was waaayyy better. I miss the good old days.

This band has changed so much over the years and it hasn't been even the slightest bit beneficial. This is a joke.

i just dont think a tambourine should be used in hardcore music

I liked it.. I mean yeah I like the older stuff more. But its not bad, just different than what you all want. But what you all want wasn't getting them money. Money is a motherfucker.

Nah dude, Andrew wrote the riffs and drums (obviously) on Changes/Relentless. Joey Sturgis had to program the drums first time around because they were in a hurry, but the only people who performed in the studio were Chad on vocals and Andrew on guitar/bass for Changes.
The second time around, Andrew was actually recorded playing drums and Jim tracked some riffs while Dylan did vocals.
Anyways...when you really think about it, this album is just a better sounding version of what Attack Attack wanted to sound like on their newest album. I expect to see FTFD on more fashioncore lineups instead of hardcore/metalcore shows.

I contribute the failure of this band to Andrew leaving. Legend is better than this horseshit.

Took a listen to Hollow, I was really into it until those clean vocals started. Was expecting something more.
